You will need: 1 bag white cornmeal, Kool-Aid mix packets (3 packets for each color), Ziploc bags
Prep Work: Divide cornmeal evenly among baggies. Mix one color Kool-Aid and a bit of water into each bag of cormeal and seal. Shake vigorously until desired color is reached. *This step may require adding more Kool-Aid and/or more water.
Invitation to Explore: Empty each bag into a large tub or bin (I use an under-the-bed clothing storage bin or an Ikea baby bathtub) so that colors are separate. Provide various size scoops, cups, etc. for mixing, filling, pouring. More water can be added to the "sand" for a more moldable consistency.
Storage: If I were to store this for an extended period, I would likely put it into a large Ziploc and refrigerate to prevent mold growth.
